Mind Gone

As 32 felt the new diaper slid under her, in her mind the tiny principal struggled to hang onto her last grown-up thoughts.

What could she try to focus on to keep her adult self thinking?

Her thoughts ran wild, Two plus two... Too hard. One plus one... Four, maybe? Letter with the funny hat... H?

Stopping to giggle wildly as baby powder rained down on her, the principal got back to her thoughts as the adults taped her diaper shut. But she knew all those school questions for sure, so what else was there to think about?

The little redhead looked over to the side of her foot, where sat her old, messy diaper.

What does grown-ups call those? 32 pondered the question, trying to remember what the big name was for what she'd done. As the adult who had been changing her lifted the soiled garment to go throw it away, though, it hit her.

Poo-poo!

That was it... Smiling and cooing now as she was lifted and strapped into her carseat, 32 couldn't help but giggle. She wouldn't have to worry 'bout those, she decided - after all, the grown-ups had changed one poo-poo, and they'd gladly change more since they loved her!
