Cassie Conquered

"Okay, time out!" Lilly frantically flipped through the pages of the old spellbook before finding another spell. "Ah-ha! Youthina.... Youthesse.... Umm..."

"You should also be sure you can read Latin. BIND!" Cassie shoved out her right hand, palm forward. From each of her finger tips a length of velvet rope snaked out, lunging at the sitter.

"I got it!" Lilly rose a finger up, "It's YouthaMMPH!" The ropes coiled down her arm and around her face and mouth before squeezing the legs and torso of the poor girl. Another muffled cry escaped as she fell to the ground like a rolled-up rug.

"Lilly!" Squeaking in fear, Ming knelt down by her babysitter, tugging futily on the ropes, "Y-You meanie! What'd you do to her?"

Her only responce from the teenager was a roll of the eyes, "Oh, please. She shot firs- ACK!"

Cassie's still- outstretched arm was grazed by a shuriken, leaving a tear in her coat and a red cut on her skin. A growl escaped as looked to the source. Standing proudly was the eight-year-old who'd been nursing a crush on her.

"Great." A move of her arm and pat of the cut was all the attention the Goth paid to her injury, "So I'm guessing this was your idea?"

"Eheh... Yeah..." Kirk at the very least looked apologetic, giving a bit of a ninja's bow to his opponent, "Sorry, black-banged girl. I kinda just wanted you to come along quietly."

"Too bad for you."

With a snap of her fingers, Cassie fired a freeze-spell at the boy, figuring that would at least hold him until she could take him in. Her eyes only widened when he vanished in a puff of smoke on contact.

"How th-"

"Shadow clone."

Above her. The goth brought her gaze upwards, only to have a pair of sneakers ram onto her cranium. Kirk hopped off immediately after contact, while the impact was enough to have Cassie slump to the ground, unconscious.
