De Fleet De Feat

Ry Le desperately worked to maintain the integrity of the fleet. Ska-Ti had gone mad in the absence of the hive-mind and used the time-shifting Star Drive as a weapon of abomination to strike at Terra's defenders. Chi Kav acting as fleet defender had acted swiftly to throw the engineer into stasis as a defense against the temporal backsurge and summoned a replacement. Without the wisdom of the hive, Engineer Le felt inadequate for the task. One of the saucers had been vaporized by the Terran attack tower. One was downed by a telekinetic berserker. None of the remaining 11 ships was unscathed. Three had unfemmed weapons while the other 4 were disoriented by the conflicting commands. To make matters worse, the Terran agents were acting without direction. One of the transformed Terrans was manning the weapon that had obliterated a saucer. Ry felt like fleeing to where the Mother ship and Support Saucer lay waiting in orbit.

Reinforcing the integrity fields and directing her fellow engineers to do the same, Ry Le was appalled at the size of the temporal disruption. The wave of time mercilessly struck the ship that had attempted to warp it and the fleet that it was a part of... <Goodbye, Ska Ti, may the next world be better...> The thoughts of the Venusian faded as the existence of her ship and the attack on Tandy disappeared.
