The Kangaroo Force Falls

The sky burst into prismatic color. Karen Vande Hoef observed through her holographic horned rim glasses as the glare protection that protected her from the Wave Motion Howitzer burst faded. The sensors built into her Kangaroo Force lab coat began analysis. It initially appeared as though the Wave Motion energies had interacted with the Temporal Recession drive employed by the Venusian saucer that was obliterated but further analysis found the distortion field clustered around two loci: a saucer which had recently departed the airspace above the Acorn Mall and… the almost exhausted forms of the Kangaroo Ultra Force.  As she watched, history shattered.

The championship winning Tandy Gardens football team was wiped from existence.

Samantha Wolfe had never joined the squad.

Karen felt that she and Mingmei were about to disappear. She couldn’t remember why she had been at the pep squad practice. She didn’t know these people! She had grown up around Alexandra, Samantha, Lita, and Joanna, but they traveled in different social circles…

As abruptly as the reality swing, a new source appeared: Kangaroo Five – identified as… Samuel Wolfe! Her mind pictured a goatee sporting youth who reminded her of Seth Greene. He was familiar, although the only time she had a firm memory was from a recent trip to the Acorn Mall. <I wonder what his relationship is to…> as she watched the readouts, the identification changed from Samuel to Samantha. <Residual chronal shock!> Samantha’s suit showed a full charge and she could see a grey fur covered Venusian in a red and gold uniform grow to titanic size (22.7 meters) beside the WMH.
