As Alexandra watched in horror, every Venusian ship trained its weapons on Samantha. The most gentle and unassuming of all her friends was consumed in a wave or purple fire. "Samantha Hit. Power levels falling. Bio-signs erratic" Karen's voice came from the Kangaroos helmet that she had been largely ignoring. Glancing at the holographic display, Aaron felt a wave of relief. Gene had not been obliterated. His life-signs were fluctuating but stabilizing. He might have to join Collin on the bench but.... No, football championships were a part of the past! She shook her head. Protect the team! "Aegis formation. Pyramid shield!" Alex dove to protect Samantha's dwindling form. "Defensive Line Activate!" A squad of phantom linesmen appeared beneath the falling cheerleader, breaking her fall. "Mingmei! I need weapons! Man down!" As Alex barreled through the alien fleet, Joanna and Lita converged on Samantha's human sized form. A translucent wall of force interposed itself in response to Cher's hastily muttered incantation. "Defensive Line!" a second squad of phantoms appeared as the three remaining Titans joined arms. Jo swung to Alex and Lita's shoulders as the faced an agitated fleet. "Combo Weapon: Wave Motion Howitzer!" Alex took command of their combined energies to summon a ten story replica of her favorite field artillery. "Building charge" Samantha was safely concealed from the Venusian ships as the seconds ticked down. With 9 seconds of power remaining, the Ultra Force unleashed a rip in the fabric of the universe that obliterated any trace of one of their opponents. "Building charge!" Alex barked a command in defiance of their dwindling power levels. Fifty five seconds of battle had crippled enemy command structure, eradicated the telepathic assault on the women of Tandy, ceased the transformation of civilian forces, and damaged the saucers -- obliterating one of their number.
