Creepy Cousin

Anne, Jason and Robin were walking home.

"I'm looking to pick up a few new spellbooks from Milo" Anne said "Do you guys want to come?"

"I've got nothing better to do" Jason said

"You guys go ahead" Robin said "I'll head home"

Robin walked home in silence. When he opened the door his ninja brother was running around screaming. Robin grabbed him and said

"Why are you freaking out"

Kirkashi caught his breath and choked out "M-M-Melody is coming"

Robin let go of him in shock. His heart sank to the soles of his feet. Melody was their cousin. She was nice, and sure enough they loved her. But she was the type of person you'd try to avoid.

She was kind and her family was fairly weathly so she had plenty of friends. But she had allergies, wore large, geeky looking glasses and was a tad annoying.So dealing with their cousin wasn't something they would volunteer to do.

"Okay, Okay don't panic" Robin said "Mom hasn't said anything yet so we're still safe"

As if on cue, their mother called from the kitchen "Since Melody is coming I'm going to need you to help me out""She'll be rooming with Robin"

Kirkashi sighed with relief while Robin got a look of discomfort on his face "Don't I have a say in this?" he asked

"No" his mother answered "And I'm going to need you to wait for her at the bus stop""She'll be there in about twenty minutes"

Robin sighed "Fine" he said "I'll be back soon"

He walked to the bus stop and waited."When the bus arrived and the passengers got off,he looked for her but could not find her.

"Robin" A voice called out to him "Is that you?"

He saw a teenage girl with a luggage cart walking toward him.She was obviously a goth.She had long black hair, some of which was dyed green. She was wearing a black dress and black and green striped stockings.

"Melody?" Robin asked unsurely

She nodded her head and hugged him "I'm so happy to see you" she said

"What happened to you?" Robin asked

"I got contact lenses for starters" she said pointing to her eyes which were now green."I made friends with this group of goths in my school and I just went on from there"

"You've really changed" Robin said

"Glad you noticed" Melody said. She pulled out a tissue and blew her nose "I've run out of my new allergy medication though""But I can get my parents to send more"

She turned to her luggage and pulled out what looked like a long, thick, black rectangle "I heard that you're taking martial arts classes" she said "I got you this present"

He took it and looked at it for a few moments. He saw a small slit which led around the entire thing. He gripped it and pulled gently. As if by magic a silver blade appeared.

"You got me a sword?" he said

"Yeah" she said "It's called a Chokutō"

He put it back in the sheath. She pulled out two small gray fans.

"When I heard you and Kirk were into martial arts, I wanted to get into it too" she said opening the fans "I've been practicing with war fans, and I also have some Shuriken and Kunai knives for Kirk"

Overjoyed at his new gift he hugged her. She was shocked at first but then returned the hug.

Cassie Sinclair walked from around the corner. What she saw made her drop the cup of pudding she was holding.

"Who is she" Cassie thought"And what is she doing with Robin"

She knew most of the other goths in town, but she didn’t recognize Melody.She looked at the two of then, locked in a loving embrace. Blue flames began to gather around her hands and her eyes started to glow red. She clenched her teeth in envy.
