?!?? and ??!? were Watching Anne being forged in the Subspace Cards.

"This is going to be an Exelent way to make sure Cosmo does not Deliver Ever Again!" Said the first figure to the Second. "Indeed, Creating Subspace Girls out of our own subspace was an Exelent Idea! Good Work, ?!??" "Any time ??!?!" They Both Laughed Evilly As Anne's Transformation began.

As soon as Anne's small hands closed on the card she felt better, but not only that she felt more knowledgeable and more in control. She looked down at the card and saw a picture of a man with an infinity symbol above his head: the magician. She also saw that she was older almost ready to go to school.

"Yes," a smaller looking Mercer said to her, "No point having all that magical power if you don't know how to use it is there? Would you like another card, my dear?"

Still blinking back surprise at everything that had happened Anne mumbled "Uh.. okay" without thinking.

"To use your powers you will also need intelligence and fore-site," said Mercer and held a card out to her. Before Anne took it she saw it had a picture of a woman sitting on a throne. As soon as she grabbed it however it disappeared. In its place Anne held a large crystal ball with a pentacle etched into it.

The now ten year-old Anne was fascinated by the crystal and was surprised to find that all she had to do was think of a person or a place and she could see them in her new possession.

Mercer smiled as Anne stared into the orb, "Splendid, but, I think you will also need a bit of imagination." Mercer tossed a card at Anne because she was much to engrossed in the crystal to be bothered to reach out and take it.

The card hit Anne in the arm and suddenly in her place stood a 13-year old girl still staring into her crystal ball. Only this time her skin was glowing faintly. Shocked a little by the card that had hit her and her new glowing form Anne looked down at the card Mercer had thrown and saw it said the moon.

Mercer's smile grew a little at this and said "Finally we can't have people finding out that we have the Wotch on our team until its too late. Yes we need to make sure you have an air of mystery about you." He reached into a pocket and pulled out yet another card, "Here this should do."

Mercer flicked this card at Anne as well. Soon realized that she was once again her normal self even if her skin still shone faintly and she was still holding her crystal, but now she was also wearing long robes to match those of the high priestess on the card at her feet.

Mercer gave Anne an appraising look, "Ah those robes suit you, my dear, and I'm sure your new power will serve me well."

Anne was surprised to feel a flush of pride at the complement. "Thank you, master. I only wish to do your will." Again Anne surprised herself but wasn't sure why. For a moment something seemed wrong with what she said but she couldn't figure out what. None of that mattered anyways Mercer was pleased with her that was the important thing.
