Major Jude Arnold of the X.I.R.T. contemplated the town below. It seemed a quiet place, a strange location for an alien invasion. Leafing through the files on Tandy, a pattern emerged of unconfirmed unusual events… Hmm.. Service is involved. That could complicate matters. Major Arnold began to ponder the reasons an extraterrestrial force would make this a beachhead… The Sphere-filled Tori continued their biological reassembly assault on the townspeople as the Major brought reinforcements to Colonel Cornell’s first contact team. Third team would soon be in place as ground troops assembled. The braincases were studying a spectral analysis of the saucers’ beam weapon. “Psionically guided resonance field optically aligned,” their gibberish would make sense later. All that mattered NOW was making the most of the presented opportunities. The Colonel’s forces were concealed from direct observation from the low flying intrudes by homes build on a small ridge. An open field, Tip Benoz Park, provided a landing field for the forces. Jude had spotters directed to either side of the extent to keep a wary eye out for “Venusian” activity. Once the landing area was secured, the Major made his way to the approaching Colonel Cornell. One of the blue haired “Galactic Hyper-girls” left her colleague and moved to join them. “… we have been authorized to provide BKN armor to any of your command willing to face the enemy. The Biologically Interactive Kinetetic Infrastructure (Neurologically Interfaced) suits are used in construction – Their Tractor-Pressor controls are easy to operate and will be configured to disrupt the Venusians’ shields. We will be inducting civilians as deputies in the Galactic Hyper-girls to provide additional support and to attempt an assault on the enemy command module. Do you have any volunteers to form the 1st Bio-armor Assault Battalion of Earth?” “Sir, I volunteer to evaluate the ‘Bio-Armor’” The Major was keenly interested in evaluation of the proffered technology. His years of exotic weapons development experience made him the logical choice – as planned – leaving the Colonel with no better option. “Evaluation of the Intruders casts doubt on our existing weapons policies. The Psi-Jam and Pro-Twister are being deployed, but the rate of civilian dissolution leaves our strategies in doubt.” He turned to… Sailor Sonja… “Do you have an operations manual?”
