"Do you know a man by the name of Milo Happerbasket" he asked

"Yeah, he runs the Magic Touch" Cassie said

"Milo is in the possesion of an item that I want" Herman said

Herman got a large book out from behind the counter and and opened it.On the page was a necklace.It was a string of pearls and shells,and hanging from the center was a large, glittering, blue scale.

"This necklace is called The Seamaiden Tear" Herman said "It's constructed almost entirely from mystical shells that can only be found at the very bottom of the sea".He pointed at the blue scale "And this is a scale from a mermaid"

Cassie's jaw dropped.She could tell that it was a very powerful, magical object.

"It's rumored to have mysterious magical powers that relate to the ocean"he continued"It's powers could make gigantic tidal waves,start horrible storms or hurricanes,it could even reativate dormant undersea volcanoes"

"How did Milo get get his hands on something that powerful?"Cassie asked

Herman slid the book to her so she could read it

"The Seamaiden's Tear is one of the many legendary treasures given to us by the ocean""It was created by a mermaid queen who was badly wounded by a fisherman""She was rescued and nursed back to health by a man named Cyrus Happerbasket""As a token of gratitude,she made him the necklace from pearls, magical seashells,and one of her own scales""Only the one who possesses it truly knows the extent of its power"

Cassie stopped reading "So this thing must be some sort of family heirloom if Milo has it" she said

"All I know is that he has it, and I want it" Herman said pointing to the glass case "If you can get it for me, I'll give you the Hand of Glory"

Cassie thought for a moment and answered.....
